Ageism and Abuse in Hollywood with Film Historian Pam Munter
Pam Munter is a film historian, writer, former performer, and retired clinical psychiatrist. She is also the writer of “Fading Fame: Women of a Certain Age in Hollywood” (purchase it here); a collection of short stories and plays about women in Hollywood and their lives after fame. In this episode, she and Evita talk all about classic Hollywood – the mythical creatures celebrities used to be – and what it really looks like behind the curtain. They also dig into the blatant, misogynistic ageism that female actresses face and what things we can do to combat it.
